
Siddharth Dalal was born in Mumbai, India, 1979. Siddharth received his B.E. in electronics engineering with distinction from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai University, Mumbai, India in 2000 and his M.S. in computer science from University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA in 2002.
Since graduating in Jul 2002, Siddharth has worked at the Medical Automation Research Center. His M.S. research involved using neural networks and mathematical methods in computer graphics and he now applies those skills to the data obtained from the MARC Smarthouse Technologies. He develops client-server software and the website for the smarthouse technologies (https://smarthouse.med.virginia.edu), along with maintaining the database and web-servers for the smarthouse technologies. He also maintains the MARC website. He has published several journal and conference papers. His current research interests include applications of technology to healthcare and making technology more accessible.
