Bill Holman
IT Systems Engineer

Bill Holman is a systems engineer who has worked in
the field of medical robotics since 1986. He holds a B.S. degree from Bridgewater College. Bill has worked in the U.Va. Medical System clinical chemistry and
toxicology laboratories for 10 years as a medical technologist prior to working
at the MARC. His interests include
software design, automated clinical methods development, systems
communications, analytical instrument interfacing, clinical instruments
communications and network management. He holds six patents on medical robotics
automation processes and has 12 published articles in the field. Not wanting
to be a total computer/engineering geek, Bill enjoys making and drinking
award winning homebrew beer, being an American Canoe Association certified kayak instructor, listening to tubed stereo equipment, geocaching,
amateur radio operations holding a General class license and cruising around in his 1987 VW camper. He also mentors a FIRST robotics high school team (www.usfirst.org and www.carobotics.org)
